It’s a very rainy day out here in Orange (Which is good! We are in a drought an need all the precipitation we can get!) so I’m staying indoors and sharing some of our library treasures that are always on display.
In the first floor of the Leatherby Libraries we have a display of selections from the Walter B. Allen “Casa De Torguga” collection. Walter B. Allen owned “Casa de Tortuga” in Fountain Valley, a safe haven for 100s of types of turtles.
Please enjoy some of my favorite turtle statues and sculptures from this collection.
A tiny green turtle and large gold turtle.
Wooden and beaded turtles.
A tortoise and a hare.
A very shiny sea turtle.
